Bereavement puts us in direct contact with mortality. This experience can be highly unsettling and affect us on a physical, emotional and mental level. Bereavement is a very painful process, but absolutely necessary to be able to move forward. However, sometimes we tend to repress or postpone this process, as we may fear that the emotions involved in this loss may be overwhelming. My professional help in this area aims at creating a space for active listening and reflection, where all the emotions related to the loss can be freely expressed, and where individuals can feel supported throughout their daily experiences oriented towards the loss and then towards the recovery.
